“This is a wonderful, truly Montessori, school. The director of the school is a little intimidating, but she loves the school and the kids, and has created a safe educational environment. Classrooms are multi-age level, with older students helping younger ones to learn with both benefiting greatly from the interaction. Children stay with the same teacher for 3 years, so the wonderful teachers REALLY know your child, and your child understands and is very comfortable with the teacher. The children are way ahead of their public school counterparts in the basics. My kindergartner can already read chapter books and can do basic multiplication, but isn't in any way being pushed too hard. The downsides to the school are very small age group cohorts at the upper grade levels, little opportunity for parent/parent interactions,and not an ideal place for pe. French, music, and art are part of the curriculum throughout all grades.”
