My daughter graduated in 2004 with honors and they helped set the foundation for her future. Mr.Rosenberg, the principal at that time, would stand at the door in the morning and greet every child with their name and some praise. Where else do you see that happen? The teachers followed his lead. That gave the students the knowledge that they cared for them and it showed in the way the children progressed in their studies and everyday living. Out of 89 graduating students that year almost half of them were honor or high honor student and almost half into sports or extracurricular activites. I grew up in a inner city school and could only wish that all children would have the opportunity that Riverview provides. My son has been able to participate in the music program as well as take advance level courses to his benefit. There are many teachers who are excellent and provide excellent service to the student population. The teacher-student environment is wonderful. It is a small school, which allow teachers have a better relationship with their students. The Riverview High School faculty go out of their way to help students. This school also has high testing scores and have won awards in the past. Additionally, Riverview's Key Club is very active and has one many awards. The teachers were not only excellent in the classroom but were personal and became good friends of mine. I feel like Riverview prepared me for college better than most of my college classmates' high schools did - and the majority of them went to private academies. Overall, its a great place.
