When I moved from a Westmoreland County school district to McKeesport everyone was worried about the school I was going to. Now I can see why. My teachers at McKeesport taught me to think. There's something that won't show up on the PSSA scores!

McKeesport High School shines on the football field, in in the shop - but not as consistantly in the classroom. Although some advanced placement classes are offered, test scores are some of the lowest in the area. Teachers are strong though, and work hard to improve the education and morale of many students who face hardship outside the classroom. For many, McKeesport offers diversity, and an oppertunity to realize the differences among people. And one can never forget the big dose of Tiger Spirit...
